Deranged
Title:The Redlight Murder CaseFor those who do not still know 'Deranged', they must be rare those who do not know, because everybody has already heard about this group of rough death Swedish, even if we have not forcing listened to by album. ' The redlight murder accommodates ' is their new album consisted in the pure tradition death metal gore and rough has wish. This youngest will be can be the occasion to discover this charismatic group. The fans of death metal old school will not be disappointed with this album, neither excess Grind nor too melodic, Swedish knew how to calibrate their compositions not to go away too much from a simple and effective death metal. From the beginning to the end of this new opus, we shall be entitled to a ceaseless bombardment of the first one to the last note. As in their custom the group will leave nobody respites with the ears of the fans of death metal tear of free violence, and row singings of besides grave. Altogether, this album respects all the pictures of the style: voice, sound, rhythmic guitars tempos and bombardments, atmospheres…Everything is there to make of this album a good death product metal. But we shall regret almost a small touch of originality which would have marked the difference with what was already made in the style since at the beginning of the 90s. 'Deranged' will not innovate either the death style which probably reached its maturity for already some years. Without being a striking and innovative album, Deranged offers us a powerful and quality album.
Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas encore ' Deranged ', ils doivent être rare ceux qui ne connaissent pas, car tout le monde a déjà entendu parler de ce groupe de brutal death suédois, même si on a pas forcement écouté d'album. ' The redlight murder case ' est leur nouvel album composé dans la pure tradition death métal gore et brutal a souhait. Ce petit dernier sera peut être l'occasion de découvrir ce groupe charismatique. Les amateurs de death metal old scool ne seront pas deçu avec cet album, ni trop Grind ni trop mélodique, les suédois ont su calibrer leurs compositions pour ne pas trop s'éloigner d'un death métal simple et efficace. Du début à la fin de ce nouvel opus, nous aurons droit à un pilonnage incessant de la première à la dernière note. Comme à leur habitude le groupe ne laissera aucun répits aux oreilles des fans de death métal accroc de violence gratuite, et de chants gutturaux ‘d'outre tombe. Dans l'ensemble, cet album respecte tous les clichés du style : voix, son, rythmiques guitares tempos et pilonnages, ambiances … tout y est pour faire de cet album un bon produit death métal. Mais on regrettera presque une petite touche d'originalité qui aurait marqué la différence avec ce qui a déjà été fait dans le style depuis les début des années 90. ' Deranged ' n'innovera pas non plus le style death qui a probablement atteint sa maturité depuis déjà quelques années. Sans être un album marquant et innovateur, Deranged nous offre un album puissant et de qualité.
Whistlino is a Spanish band from Madrid. They play an experimental metal, that is tainted by many influences. I unfortunately can’t tell you more about them because there is no biography on their website or their myspace page.I enjoyed this band’s album, because of the music quality, the nice voice, and the heavy riffs. The main influence that comes up to mind is Freak Kitchen, but Primus came to mind on “artist of the week”. The guitar riffs are heavy and efficient. Oliver is obviously a gifted composer and guitarist. His solos are very melodic and quite technical. The bass is efficient, following the guitar riffs most of the time. The drums are also simple, but they do their job efficiently. The album is not flat, there are many different atmospheres, some songs very jazzy (twisting my head), others bluesy, but the album remains mainly metal. The voice is nice, with a Spanish accent, but the album lacks a bit sometimes on the lyric side of things. Now, I guess this is in the same line as Freak Kitchen, kinda jokey, happy music. I am personally a big fan of Freak Kitchen, so I did not mind; but I must admit that the similarity (music-wise and atmosphere-wise) disappointed me after a while; even the song title “no soul men” reminds or “dead soul men” of Freak Kitchen. “wacky supermarket” is literally a rip off of Freak Kitchen. I still enjoyed the album, and will keep it on my mp3, as I think this is still a good rock album, with interesting guitar work. Every FK fan should have a listen; they most definitely enjoy them. Whistlino est un groupe espagnol de Madrid. Ils jouent un métal expérimental, teinté de diverses influences. Je ne peux malheureusement pas vous en dire plus car leur site internet et leur page myspace ne contiennent pas plus d’information sur l’histoire du groupe.J’ai bien apprécié cet album, grâce à la qualité de la musique, à une bonne voix, et de très bon riffs. L’influence principale venant à l’esprit est Freak Kitchen, mais “artist of the week” me rappelle Primus. Les riffs de guitare sont lourds et efficaces. Oliver est un talentueux compositeur et guitariste. Ses solos sont très mélodiques et assez techniques. La section rythmique fait son job correctement, suivant la guitare pour la plupart du temps, mais ajoute par moment des passages très intéressants. Cet album n’est pas monotone, car il contient diverses ambiances, de jazzy a bluesy, mais reste principalement metal. Le chant est bon, avec un léger accent espagnol, mais les paroles laissent parfois à désirer. Je conçois que cet album est dans la même lignée que ce que fait Freak Kitchen (happy rock marrant), donc cela ne m’a pas trop dérangé. Cela dit, au bout d’un moment, la similarité avec le trio suédois est un peu décevante; même le titre de la chanson “no soul men” rappelle “dead soul men” de Freak Kitchen. “wacky supermarket” est même littéralement une chanson formattée Freak Kitchen. Hommage ou copie ? J’ai tout de même bien apprécié cet album, et vais garder les mp3, car il reste un bon disque rock, avec un travail guitaristique intéressant. Tout FK fan qui se respecte se doit de jeter une oreille sur Whistlino, car je suis persuadé qu’ils apprécieront. It has been already 20 years since Swedish of 'Dismember', mythical, inescapable group of the scene death metal Swedish and in the indisputable fame, impose their extreme and rough music. Real emblem of the Swedish death metal, the pioneers and the reference group, Dismember has to prove nothing more and this album called 'Dismember' will rest probably the ascendancy of this already legendary group. The style remains unchanged altogether, not of intro we directly get to the heart of the subject, we recognize the style of the group from the first one seconds, heavy melodic and rough overhung by the sound ' Dismember ' which we could not separate from the group. Dismember without the sound which is appropriate for him would be no more Dismember. We note an evolution at the level of the compositions which want by moment more heavy metal than in past, As on the title ' Under has bloodred sky ' who calls back melodies in the style of ' Iron maiden ' these melodic touches bring to the concept the touch of originality which will be the claw of this album. With this album Swedish proves that they are far from finishing their career is that they can be still creative and surprise their public. The compositions are effective and original, the variable tempos bring of the wealth in title. We have not the time to miss on the duration of the album which account 11 titles of real death Swedish. Another successful album has to get itself at once.
Voilà déjà 20 ans que les suédois de ' Dismember ', groupe mythique, incontournable de la scène death métal suédoise et à la renommée incontestable, imposent leur musique extrême et brutale. Véritable emblème du death metal suédois, pionniers et groupe de référence, Dismember n'a plus rien à prouver et cet album appelé ' Dismember ' appuiera probablement la suprématie de ce groupe déjà légendaire. Le style reste inchangé dans l'ensemble, pas d'intro on entre directement dans le vif du sujet, on reconnaît le style du groupe dès les première secondes, lourd mélodique et brutal surplombé du son ' Dismember ' que l'on ne pourrait dissocier du groupe. Dismember sans le son qui lui est propre ne serait plus du Dismember. On note une évolution au niveau des compositions qui se veulent par moment plus heavy métal que dans le passé, comme sur le titre ' Under a bloodred sky ' qui rappelle des mélodies à la manière de ' Iron maiden ' ces touches mélodiques apportent au concept la touche d'originalité qui sera la griffe de cet album . Avec cet album les suédois prouvent qu'ils sont loin de finir leur carrière est qu'ils peuvent être encore créatif et surprendre leur public. Les compositions sont efficaces et originales, les tempos variables apportent de la richesse aux titres. On a pas le temps de s'ennuyer sur la durée de l'album qui compte 11 titres de véritable death suédois. Encore un album réussi a se procurer immédiatement.
